How We Help

HOW TEEN RESCUE CAN HELP

Teen Rescue is a referral program that also started and currently operates Julian Youth Academy. If a parent believes that his or her child has a behavioral problem, Teen Rescue can offer help.
Because Teen Rescue is a referral service, even if the child is not going to attend JYA, Teen Rescue will help the parent find the right school for his or her child's needs. Donations are accepted for this service, but Teen Rescue will not require any money and will not ask for any money. If parents believe they need help, they could take the steps listed here:

  • Parents can contact Teen Rescue by calling 1-800-494-2200.
  • A Teen Rescue consultant will take a profile of the child by asking the parent questions about his or her child.
  • The profile will be examined to determine what kind of program would be appropriate for the child.
  • If the child is determined to fit JYA’s program, Teen Rescue will give the parent the option to visit the JYA campus. If the child does not qualify for JYA, the consultant will send the parent a list of suggested programs, schools, or treatment plans.

If JYA can meet the child’s needs, sending him to JYA is an option for the parent to consider. However, JYA asks that parents who are considering JYA to research four other programs in order to ensure that JYA is a good fit for the family. JYA wants to help parents find the best situation for the families and then children; we do not pressure parents to apply to JYA.
