Aftercare Support

After the student has graduated from JYA, the students participate in Aftercare Support, which is a 6 month program. During Aftercare Support, the parents supervise the teens at home while remaining in contact with the JYA Aftercare Support Director. Aftercare Support helps the student transition back into the home and encourages them to maintain the good habits they developed at JYA. Aftercare Support also helps the parents in handling their son during this delicate transition.
Different aspects of Aftercare Support:

• Students and parents will be able to contact the Aftercare Support Director during office hours.
• The parents have weekly contact with the Aftercare Support Director for the first three months and can also continue to contact the Aftercare Support Director whenever needed for questions or support.
• The Aftercare Support Director will have discussions with the parents concerning the progress and status of the student.
• The evaluation sheets filled out by the parents will be reviewed by the Aftercare Support Director.
• If approved by the parents and requested by the students, the Aftercare Support Director will also help integrate the students into youth groups and church activities.
• The students and parents will be notified by the Aftercare Support Director concerning upcoming events in which the student can participate.
