About the Julian Youth Academy

  • JYA (satellite program for boys) is a program of Teen Rescue, Inc., which is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation
  • Teen Rescue was founded in 1989
  • Fully-accredited, private Christian residential school
  • Located in a very rural area in San Diego County
  • Program intended for struggling teenage boys requiring full-time supervision and redirection
  • Accepts boys between the ages of 12 and 17 and will keep a voluntary student past the age of 18
  • Staff-to-student ratio averages around 1 staff member to every 5 students
  • JYA is the lowest cost program for the staff-to-student ratio we maintain
  • Goals are to build character, teach life skills, and restore your son to a healthy outlook on life through loving and firm guidance
  • Student’s/Family’s race or religion is not taken into consideration
  • JYA is a Christian organization, but students and parents are not required or pressured to become Christians
  • Individualized curriculum provided for each student
  • Different scholarships and payment plans are available for those who need it and qualify for it; please contact us if this is your situation
  • General tuition without any scholarships is $52,000 for 15 months on campus; this includes 6 months of JYA's Aftercare Support
  • Initial $10,000 down payment followed by zero interest monthly payments of $2,800 over a 15 month term
  • Bi-monthly parent training meetings, support group during parent visits, and two week-long seminars are all included in the cost
